As promised, here is a post on everything I am currently
working on.
I have several projects that I am currently working on. I am
actively in process of writing two new novels, revising a third, and I am in the
process of plotting out another novel.
Depths of Darkness
– the (hopefully) long awaited next novel in the Saints & Sinners series that
takes place before the currently published novel, Road to Redemption. This
novel is focussed on Iain’s story before he became a gatekeeper. Iain has
recently retired as a detective with the La Port PD, but is brought back as a
consultant after several horrendous and mysterious murders were committed. It
is currently in progress as a first draft which is not quite halfway complete.
Good Intentions –
this is the first book in what is expected to be a four book series. It is
called the Shadowlands Series and is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Taking place
over a century after seismic upheaval, heavy solar flare activity and a
devastating virus have left few survivors behind. Fragmented societies have
grown, but one man, Rubel Sabine, thinks that the world could be greater than
ever was before and is willing to do almost anything to make his vision a
reality. Good Intentions is currently being revised.
Bitter Blindness –
this is book two in the Shadowlands Series and takes place approximately ten
years after the first novel. This book deals with the consequences of the actions
and decisions made by many characters in the first novel. Some plans come
together and others begin to fall apart as the land becomes polarized and the
threat of war looms over their heads. This novel is currently in progress as a
first draft and is also about halfway complete.
I am planning on having completed all four first drafts of this
series prior to submitting them to a publisher. Wish me luck in finding the
right home for this exciting new series!
So what else is in the works? Well, as mentioned above, I
did have a new novel idea come to me recently and have only just begun plotting
it to see if the idea is workable. Of course, I have dozens of ideas waiting to
be worked out. I’ll keep you up-to-date on how all my current works in progress
are doing!
